Community Advisory Council
The Community Advisory Council (CAC) will have 10-15 members, at least half of whom will be individuals with disabilities and family members. The Council will meet three times per year at Baylor University to speak into the growing work of the BCDD. The first Council meeting will be held on September 19th from 9 am – 1 pm.
The Council will:
- Advise on critical issues and pressing needs in our community and state
- Generate ideas for projects that would have local and national significance
- Help strengthen and promote the work, resources, and reputation of the Center
- Recommend ways we can collaborate well beyond our campus
- Ensure the voices and priorities of the disability community are honored throughout our work
