The Center regularly offers practical workshops for educators, families, and others in the local community. Our current offerings are described below:
Equipping Special Educators Training Series
The Baylor Center for Developmental Disabilities hosts one-hour educator training sessions every month. Topics include classroom management, functions of behavior, strategies to address challenging behaviors, and teaching techniques to promote skill acquisition.
The BCDD goal is to provide teachers with strategies and techniques to enhance academic and social success for students with disabilities.

Caregivers as Change Agents Training Series
The Baylor Center for Developmental Disabilities hosts one-hour caregiver training sessions every month. Topics include behavior support, disability and/or diagnosis information, rights of parents of a child with a disability, and more!
Our goal is to provide information and connections for family members raising a child with autism and/or related developmental disabilities in the Greater Waco area, so topics and schedules may change as needed.
Time: Noon -1:30 p.m.
Location: BCDD Clinic at 2201 MacArthur Dr., Suite 2205
